The name
An LLC's name must end with LLC, L.L.C. or Limited Liability Company (PLLC for a professional LLC). A corporation's must end with Corporation, Company, Incorporated, Corp., Co. or Inc. (P.A. or Chartered for a professional association). Florida accepts a name only if it is distinguishable from every name already on Sunbiz.
The IRS online EIN tool can also refuse a name that is too close to an existing business anywhere in the country (IRS reference 101). The EIN then has to go by fax or a call to the IRS, which adds days or weeks. Two alternates help with both.

Owners, managers and officers
List each owner and each person who will run the company. For an LLC, Sunbiz uses AMBR for an owner who runs a member-managed LLC, MGR for a manager of a manager-managed LLC, and AR for an authorized representative who signs and files for it. For a corporation, P, VP, S, T and D stand for president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and director; one person can hold every office.
