Hurricane & business continuity
A plan to keep the business running after the storm
In Southwest Florida the storm passes, and then the real work starts. We put the plan in place before the season, so reopening is a checklist instead of a scramble.
At a glance
- What you get
- Backups, insurance documentation, a contact tree, a recovery checklist and a communication plan
- The app
- Storm Vault, for photos, documents and claims
- Price
- $750 to $1,500, depending on locations, staff and systems
- Best time
- Before June 1, when hurricane season starts
What's included
Backups
Your files, books and email backed up away from the office, on your own accounts, with a test restore so you know they work.
Insurance documentation walk-through
We walk through the business with you and record equipment, inventory and the building in Storm Vault, our free app, with dated photos and receipts ready for a claim.
Contact tree
Who calls whom, and in what order, when power and cell service are spotty: staff, landlord, insurer, bank and key vendors.
Recovery-steps checklist
What to do before landfall, the day after and the week after, in order, with who does each step.
Supplier and customer communication plan
Messages written ahead (closed, reopening, orders delayed, where to reach you) and the lists to send them to.
What it costs
- Hurricane & business continuity plan
- Set up with you; the price depends on the number of locations, staff and systems
- $750 to $1,500
Good to know
- We don't sell insurance or advise on coverage. We help you document what you have. Your insurance agent answers coverage questions.
- Backups live on your accounts. We set them up on services in your name, and we keep no copy of your data.
- Check the plan each spring. Phone numbers, staff and equipment change. A quick review before June keeps the plan current.
